The act of releasing the bowstring is referred to as the “release,” and it is a critical component of accuracy. Consistency is the key to accuracy in mathematics. If you shoot in the same manner for every shot, your arrows will land in the same area every time. Archers, on the other hand, are not machines, and therefore require assistance in releasing a bowstring consistently.
